Artist's Statement

"What intrigues and inspires me most about photography is that it is a medium of light. The photographic process exists because of, and is dependent on, the aesthetic and energetic qualities of light that affect transformation. As vast and magical is light, so is the medium of photography. The images and bodies of work I create are not preoccupied with one particular methodology and theme but rather transition with internal shifts of experience and utilize whatever tools and media are available and best apply to project. They either begin with a vision, a picture impressed on my psyche, usually coming from a dream or as a visual response to stirred emotion within, or images emerge as I find myself responding to an environment and the world as it exists around me. Each photograph, each moment captured, is really part of a bigger picture, one where we are all interconnected and where what is seen outside is actually right there within."
